Sports Scholarship
Athlete Support
The Sports Scholarship Scheme gives financially disadvantaged,
talented young sports people residing in West London the opportunity
to pursue their sporting goals.
A scholarship can be anything from £100-£1000. A full
scholarship is awarded to an individual who is competing at National
or International level and is in education or training. A developmental
scholarship is awarded to a talented individual who has shown potential
to be, or is regional or county level in their sport.
Once a scholarship has been awarded the scholarship officer guides
the scholar in their budget and personal development plan. A scholarship
lasts one year and intakes are twice yearly in April and October.
The officer will help decide how the scholarship is spent be it
coaching, travel costs, competition fees, educational books and
equipment.
